"Now I need to hire an offensive coordinator, and there are certain core beliefs that I really do believe in like running the ball and being really physical up front, so when they know we're going to run the ball, we're still going to run it well. That's going to be huge for me. And then we do, we need to build it around the quarterback, and you have to surround that quarterback with weapons - the o-line, the wideouts, the backs so it's not all him."
"Slowik served as the Houston Texans' offensive coordinator for the two seasons (2023-24) before he joined the Dolphins, helping to develop young quarterback C.J. Stroud. Slowik's offense ranked No. 7 in 2023 and No. 2 in pass plays of more than 25 yards (41). Stroud had 23 touchdowns, five interceptions and a 100.8 passer rating. The Texans dipped to No. 22 in total offense in 2024 as injuries hit the offensive line."
Bobby Slowik will be the Miami Dolphins' offensive coordinator after joining last season as senior pass game coordinator. Slowik served as the Houston Texans' offensive coordinator in 2023-24 and helped develop quarterback C.J. Stroud. Slowik's Houston offense ranked No. 7 in 2023 and No. 2 in pass plays over 25 yards, with Stroud throwing 23 touchdowns, five interceptions and a 100.8 passer rating. The Texans fell to No. 22 in total offense in 2024 as offensive-line injuries affected performance. Coach Jeff Hafley prioritizes running the ball, physicality up front, building around the quarterback, and surrounding the quarterback with weapons. Slowik will likely address quarterback and wide receiver decisions and add depth on the offensive line and elsewhere.
