Harbaugh wouldn't elaborate on Jackson's status beyond that, saying, "I know it's Lamar, it's our quarterback. I understand how important it is and it wasn't his best interest of practice today. And we'll see where we're at [Thursday].""
Lamar Jackson did not practice Wednesday because of an ankle injury, marking a second consecutive week he missed practice. Last week he missed a day with knee soreness, then returned to practice and played in a 23-16 win at Cleveland. Coach John Harbaugh called it a similar situation and said the team would reassess Thursday. Jackson has been sacked 3.2 times per game this season, the most of his eight-year career; he took five sacks against the Browns, four by Myles Garrett. He missed three games with a hamstring injury and has missed eight practices overall. In his two most recent games he completed 57.4% of throws for 184.5 yards per game, with no touchdown passes, two interceptions and a 47.6 passer rating.
