Jones: Parsons trade will make Cowboys better
Briefly

Dallas traded Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers for defensive tackle Kenny Clark and first-round picks in 2026 and 2027. Jerry Jones said the move targets playoff success by improving run defense and preventing opponents from running when the Cowboys fall behind. Parsons had 52.5 sacks and four Pro Bowl selections in his first four seasons and was one of two players with at least 12 sacks each of those seasons. The Cowboys must reach the postseason without Parsons while relying on pass-rushing depth — Dante Fowler Jr., Marshawn Kneeland, Sam Williams, Donovan Ezeiruaku and James Houston — and an offense led by coach Brian Schottenheimer and a returning Dak Prescott to score enough points.

In our judgment this gives us a better chance to be a better team than we have been the last several years,
