The New York Jets are planning a quarterback change, with coach Aaron Glenn moving toward naming Tyrod Taylor the starter after an 0-7 start. Owner Woody Johnson criticized Justin Fields' performance while praising Glenn for improvements in parts of the team and noting defensive and special teams progress. Fields was benched at halftime in the most recent game. Fields has a career-low 32.1 Total QBR in six starts, ranking 31st among 33 qualified passers. The team previously gave Fields a two-year, $40 million deal with $30 million guaranteed and intended to evaluate him over a full season. Glenn is expected to announce the decision this week.
