The New York Jets held an on-field tribute for Nick Mangold before their game at MetLife Stadium. Mangold's wife Jennifer and their children Matthew, Eloise, Thomas and Charlotte wore green and white No. 74 jerseys and participated in the pregame coin toss at midfield. Mangold died Oct. 27 at age 41 from complications of kidney disease after publicly requesting a type O blood donor. The Jets displayed a massive No. 74 banner, unfurled a large picture behind an end zone, played a video tribute, and former teammate D'Brickashaw Ferguson spoke. Fans wore No. 74 jerseys and received commemorative T-shirts. Mangold was a two-time All-Pro, selected to seven Pro Bowls, retired in 2018, and was enshrined in the Jets' ring of honor in 2022.
