Jets-Dolphins rivalry: What will Monday night add to the wacky history?
""I remember talking to Ronnie Lott, and I think we had a couple of D-linemen that were down on a knee because we thought [the spike] was about to happen, and it just so happened that I saw something that just wasn't right," Glenn said. "I remember trying to run out there to go cover [Ingram] to try and defend the play. "Listen, they did a really good job of getting us on that play, you know?""
""That was an outstanding game," Glenn said. "Our guys fought to the very end, and that's what you want as a team, to be able to see yo"
The Jets and Dolphins rivalry has produced many offbeat, idiosyncratic, and memorable moments across decades. Notable examples include A.J. Duhe's three interceptions in the Mud Bowl AFC Championship on Jan. 23, 1983, the 51-45 Ken O'Brien–Dan Marino game in 1986, and the Fail Mary returned by Jevon Holland in the Black Friday game in 2023. Aaron Glenn participated in two iconic meetings: the 1994 Marino fake-spike touchdown to Mark Ingram, where Glenn covered Ingram, and the 2000 Monday Night Miracle, when the Jets rallied from a 30-7 fourth-quarter deficit to win 40-37 in overtime.
