He underwent multiple procedures to remove a bullet from his right lung and was upgraded from critical to stable condition. Boyd had been placed on season-ending injured reserve in the preseason with a shoulder injury and was with teammates Jamien Sherwood and Irvin Charles at the time. Police say Boyd and his group got into a scuffle with another group that included the suspected shooter, which led to the shooting. Surveillance footage and photos of the suspect were released and no arrests had been made as of Wednesday. Jets coach Aaron Glenn said Boyd is "going to come out of this thing really, really well."
