""Yes, I do," Jones said on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas. "Of course, I've said this time and time again, I think the world of Micah as an individual and of course know him well. I might say, 'I wish him well,' except it's obvious I don't this weekend in terms of Green Bay winning the game. And so, it makes for an exciting time.""
""Not at all. It was nothing personal," Jones said. "I told you, I liked Micah. As much as people wanted to make that of it, there was no issue regarding feelings relative to the negotiations. Certainly not on my part. It was just par for the course.""
Jerry Jones said Micah Parsons' return to AT&T Stadium adds extra motivation for the Cowboys to beat the Packers this week. Jones framed the trade of Parsons to Green Bay for Kenny Clark and first-round picks in 2026 and 2027 as a move to improve Dallas' run defense after contract extension talks could not be finalized. Jones insisted the decision was not personal and expressed respect for Parsons as an individual. The Cowboys have run effectively early under Javonte Williams and may rely more on the ground game with CeeDee Lamb sidelined by a high-ankle sprain.
