Stevens was born without legs and traveled an hour from San Francisco to San Jose in an NFL-provided lift van. His wheelchair remained nearby while he conducted interviews on the floor. Stevens said his legless appearance can draw attention and create opportunity, describing how crawling up to a player and tugging a pant leg prompts engagement. Stevens advocates for people with disabilities and works to open doors.
