Inside Jahmyr Gibbs' historic start, future with the Lions
"We always have hopes to make it to the Super Bowl, and if not that, at least make the playoffs, and we didn't get either."
""Nah. I don't think so," Gibbs told ESPN. "Me personally, I could've done a lot of stuff throughout the year to get us out"
Jahmyr Gibbs emptied his locker in early January, taking out custom Air Jordan cleats, game-worn jerseys, gloves and personal memorabilia. He finished the season with 1,839 scrimmage yards and 18 touchdowns, earning Pro Bowl honors for a third consecutive year. Gibbs recorded 49 touchdowns across his first three seasons, surpassing Barry Sanders' mark and ranking alongside Hall of Famers on early-career lists. Since entering the league, Gibbs has 3,580 yards, ranks third in scrimmage yards behind Derrick Henry and Bijan Robinson, and averages 5.3 yards per carry. Gibbs acknowledged disappointment about missing the playoffs and said he believes he can improve.
