Injury-ravaged Patriots suddenly have dream scenario to end 2025 season
"Injuries over the past few weeks have ravaged the New England Patriots. In the latter half of the season, Milton Williams and Will Campbell were placed on injured reserve. Robert Spillane, Jared Wilson, and Brenden Schooler have missed time, and both Christian Barmore and Harold Landry played through injury on Sunday. During the game on Sunday, TreVeyon Henderson was ruled out with a head injury, while defensive tackles Khyiris Tonga and Joshua Farmer also were ruled out."
"The team may have found something in UDFA nose tackle Eric Gregory: he has a 73.5 PFF grade in 76 snaps this year. Nonetheless, missing out on two of the team's top run stoppers in Tonga and Farmer, especially with Spillane still out, puts them in a tough position, especially considering they've allowed 450 rush yards across their last three games."
The Patriots have been hit by numerous injuries, with Milton Williams and Will Campbell placed on injured reserve and multiple starters missing time or playing hurt. In the most recent game, TreVeyon Henderson, Khyiris Tonga, and Joshua Farmer were ruled out, and seven players were designated injured, including Kayshon Boutte, Pop Douglas, Thayer Munford, and Charles Woods. Milton Williams is eligible to return from IR this week. UDFA nose tackle Eric Gregory has a 73.5 PFF grade in 76 snaps. Losing Tonga, Farmer, and Spillane has coincided with 450 rushing yards allowed over three games, an extrapolated pace that would rank third-worst. Remaining opponents include the Jets and Dolphins, with the Jets starting Brady Cook.
