Sam Cosmi woke at 5 a.m. in his Madrid hotel room, used TikTok to map tapas and churros spots, and planned city exploration. Washington players and coaches spent the week in Madrid to bond, acclimate and try to reverse a five-game losing streak with a Sunday game against the Miami Dolphins. Players spent free time roaming the city and shared evening meals at restaurants offering Japanese, Mediterranean and local fare. The trip is the NFL's first game in Spain and Washington's first international trip since London in 2016. The team opted to arrive early and acclimate rather than fly out shortly before the game.
