""I had 23 quarterbacks on the ground that year," Allen said. "And they took it from me.""
"In the same video, Rodgers said he considered Allen the "all-time single season sack leader.""

Myles Garrett finished the 2025 season with 23 sacks, establishing a new single-season NFL record. A 2011 scoring review reclassified one of Jared Allen’s sacks as a team sack after Aaron Rodgers bobbled the ball and fell on it, costing Allen what he and others view as a 23rd sack. The previous official mark of 22.5 sacks was first set by Michael Strahan in 2001 and later tied by T.J. Watt in 2021. Garrett now stands alone in the record book, while Allen and Rodgers have publicly questioned the longstanding statistical outcome.
