How the Raiders looked in their first game since Greg Olson took over as interim OC
"Offensively, to have an expectation that we're gonna flip-flop and all of the sudden be ripping, which we would have liked to have seen that, but that didn't happen,"
"We're a ways away."
"painful"
The Las Vegas Raiders replaced offensive coordinator Chip Kelly with quarterbacks coach Greg Olson as interim playcaller late in the season. Olson called plays in his first game, but the Raiders lost 31-14 to the Los Angeles Chargers and were held to 31 rushing yards while Geno Smith spent much of the afternoon under duress. The loss was the team's 10th and eliminated them from playoff contention for the fourth consecutive season. Coach Pete Carroll called the offense "painful" to watch and said the unit is "a ways away," signaling significant offseason changes are necessary.
