Drake Maye emerged as an MVP candidate in his second NFL season. The Patriots drafted him third overall and their offense improved from one of the league's worst to seventh in scoring at 27.2 points per game. Maye's 6-foot-4, 230-pound frame combines deep-ball accuracy, explosive-play production, and running ability, creating a difficult-to-defend dual-threat. The team is on an eight-game winning streak largely boosted by the developing passing attack. Maye drew both high praise and early criticism coming out of UNC, but his physical tools and playmaking have validated the investment.
