"I sent him home, an excused absence,"
"We are working through some things that are private with the young man, and we will get those things figured out."
"...I wouldn't say it is a disciplinary thing, more of a football thing with something we have to get straightened out."
Falcons head coach Raheem Morris sent wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud home from practice for a private matter and expressed uncertainty about McCloud's return. McCloud has been ruled out for Sunday’s trip to San Francisco and will be a healthy scratch for a second consecutive game after missing Monday’s win and remaining a non-participant at practice all week. Morris described the absence as an excused one and framed it as a football-related issue rather than disciplinary or related to prior staff changes. Darnell Mooney has also been limited by a hamstring and did not practice, leaving the receiving corps thin behind leading receiver Drake London, with Casey Washington and David Sills handling recent snaps.
