Falcons starting tackle McGary to miss season
Briefly

Kaleb McGary suffered a leg injury in practice and will miss the entire season after being placed on injured reserve without a designation to return. McGary appeared to be favoring his left leg after being carted off and was described by coach Raheem Morris as expected to be out for significant time. McGary is known as a potent run blocker and would have had an increased role protecting the blindside for left-handed quarterback Michael Penix Jr. Storm Norton, the swing tackle, had ankle surgery and was placed on injured reserve with a designation to return. Elijah Wilkinson has taken reps at right tackle and projects as the likely starter until Norton returns. The Falcons also acquired tackle Michael Jerrell from the Seahawks for a conditional seventh-round pick.
Marc Raimondi's first year covering the Falcons was 2024, but it wasn't his first year at ESPN. He joined the company in 2019 and was a top combat sports reporter. He also covered professional wrestling and wrote the book "Say Hello to the Bad Guys: How Pro Wrestling's New World Order Changed America," which was published by Simon & Schuster in 2025.
