"Free agent NFL wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., who spent last season with the Miami Dolphins, revealed in an interview released Tuesday that he tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs for 2024. Beckham told NFL podcast "The Pivot" of the positive drug test that would've occurred while he was with the Dolphins. The one-time star who turns 33 within a month said he has no intentions of retiring at this point in time, and Beckham would be subject to a six-game suspension upon any return in which he signs with a team."
""To come back and play football," Beckham said in "The Pivot" interview, "I have to come out and deal with, while I was in Miami, hearing that you're getting charged and someone says, 'You failed for PED.'" Beckham said he didn't knowingly take any PED and was perplexed as to what it could've been; he said he never took any new supplements he didn't take previously."
""I've never cheated the system," Beckham said. "I've never ran from no test. I've never failed a test not once in my life." He mentioned having a low testosterone level in routine bloodwork before the season, and the positive test claimed his testosterone was high."
Odell Beckham Jr. confirmed a positive test for performance-enhancing drugs linked to 2024 while he was with the Miami Dolphins. Beckham denied knowingly taking PEDs and expressed confusion because he did not start any new supplements. Preseason bloodwork reportedly showed low testosterone, while the positive test registered elevated testosterone. Miami waived Beckham on Dec. 13 and he went unclaimed. Beckham appeared in nine games for Miami, recording nine catches on 18 targets for 55 yards. Beckham said he has no intention of retiring and identified the Rams, Chiefs, and Steelers as potential 2025 landing spots.
