"I'm assuming, at the combine, I'll put everybody on notice. So, it's going to be really fun,"
"I felt good. I feel like my fastest, for sure, right now."
"A lot of faith and confidence. Some days, you feel like you get high on yourself. Some days, you get low on yourself. It's really just a mental game of believing the process,"
"It paid off. I'm super hungry. Coming out here and just running, seeing my time, I'm happy with it,"
Emmett Johnson, a 5-foot-11, 200-pound running back from Nebraska, is training at Bommarito Performance Systems in South Florida ahead of the 2026 NFL scouting combine. NFL analyst Bucky Brooks lists Johnson as the No. 2 running back prospect, while other evaluators place him variably within the top five or lower. Johnson led the Big Ten in 2025 with 251 carries, 1,451 rushing yards and 297 total touches, and also caught 46 passes for 370 yards with 15 total touchdowns. Johnson completed a mock combine with a confidential 40-yard dash and later refined his first 20 yards, emphasizing confidence and the mental process for testing success.
