Tyreek Hill's oblique injury, which surfaced Aug. 6 and caused him to miss a practice day, is not expected to keep him out of the Sept. 7 opener at Indianapolis. Hill will participate in portions of the Dolphins' Thursday practice as the team avoids setbacks. Running back De'Von Achane and tackle Austin Jackson are in good position to play Week 1. Safety Ashtyn Davis, sidelined for about a month with a lower-leg injury, is eager and 'in play' to return. Jaylen Wright underwent a 'small procedure' for a lower-extremity injury and could return within September; he was not placed on injured reserve.
"He'll do some stuff (Thursday)," McDaniel said. "We've been making sure he was going to have no setbacks for next week, and so, yeah, we look good - looks great."
"I would say he's in play," McDaniel said, "because if I didn't, he would punch me in the face."
