Dolphins' McDaniel plans to play starters in preseason finale; talks Waller, injury updates
Briefly

Starters are slated to appear in Saturday night's preseason finale against the Jacksonville Jaguars, with individual playing time contingent on performance during Thursday's joint practice. Playing starters more than once in the preseason would be a first in four seasons and provides game-day preparation and pregame routine practice while giving fans a chance to see starters at Hard Rock Stadium. Several starters dealing with injuries — De'Von Achane (oblique), Tyreek Hill (oblique) and Jaelan Phillips (undisclosed) — are unlikely to play. The game will largely showcase reserves competing for final roster spots before the NFL cutdown to 53 players. Darren Waller was activated off the physically-unable-to-perform list, participated in stretching, and is expected to increase individual position work ahead of the regular-season opener.
"I can't wait for him to show me," McDaniel said
"He's done a great job. You'll see more of him (Thursday), as is inherent in progression."
