Dolphins could be activating Austin Jackson from IR - and maybe Darren Waller, too
""We have the day that we have to evaluate," McDaniel said. "We'll let (Friday) play out. If that occurs, we obviously have to do some roster moves, so we'll take until (Saturday) through the evaluation, and if we have to do something, we still have some time to do that.""
""He's in play," McDaniel said. "I'm an optimistic guy. We'll see with how he feels (Friday), but if there's not a setback, I'm optimistic.""
The Miami Dolphins could activate right tackle Austin Jackson from injured reserve and possibly tight end Darren Waller before Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints. The team will evaluate Friday practice before making any Saturday activation decisions, and roster moves would be required if activations occur. Jackson injured a toe in the season opener on Sept. 7 and has been on IR since; he was designated for return Nov. 12 and practiced during the Madrid trip and bye week. Waller returned to practice Wednesday after a pectoral injury and remains within his return window. If Jackson is not activated Saturday, he can still be brought back early next week before his 21-day window expires.
