Troy Aikman will assist the Miami Dolphins in their search for a new general manager. The Dolphins parted ways with former general manager Chris Grier on Halloween. Coach Mike McDaniel said he is in conversations with ownership and that he is not opposed to more information. McDaniel declined to connect Aikman's involvement to his own job security for 2026 and said he does not think about his future or waste time on such questions. McDaniel acknowledged outside critiques, including Aikman's clock-management commentary. Outside linebacker Bradley Chubb expressed strong support for interim general manager Champ Kelly, who is popular across the organization.
