Dolphins activate TE Darren Waller from physically unable to perform list
Briefly

The Dolphins activated tight end Darren Waller from the physically unable to perform list after acquiring him in a July trade with the New York Giants. Waller had retired June 9, 2024, with the Giants and returned to play when the trade became official on July 7; Miami sent a 2026 sixth-round pick and received Waller plus a 2027 conditional seventh-round pick. Coach Mike McDaniel cited Waller not being in football shape and a desire to avoid making a joint practice his first session as reasons for the delayed activation. Waller is expected to fill the receiving tight end role vacated by Jonnu Smith.
My experience with him, the mental side is an extreme strength of his,
Knowing where he needs to be, terminology, that for him is always just something that comes very natural to him because he's used to having to line up everywhere, especially at the Raiders.
