"The Bills know exactly what they are getting in Moore because Brady was his OC in Carolina for two of the best seasons of Moore's career (2020-21) -- over 1,150 receiving yards each season. Moore immediately catapults into the role of Buffalo's No. 1 receiver and also offers a different skill set from some of the other players in the room. Moore has speed and the ability to create separation and stretch the field."
"The splash marks the first significant acquisition since new head coach Joe Brady was promoted from offensive coordinator on Jan. 27, and it also provides a new WR1 for quarterback Josh Allen -- who has targeted wide receivers at a declining rate since 2020."
The Buffalo Bills finalized a trade with the Chicago Bears for wide receiver DJ Moore, with the deal becoming official on March 11 at the start of the league year. Buffalo sends its 2026 second-round pick (No. 60) and receives Moore plus a 2026 fifth-round pick. This marks the first major acquisition under new head coach Joe Brady, who was promoted from offensive coordinator. Moore, the 24th overall pick in 2018, had his lowest career output last season with 50 receptions and 682 yards but still scored six touchdowns. Moore previously thrived under Brady in Carolina for two seasons (2020-21), averaging over 1,150 receiving yards annually. The acquisition provides quarterback Josh Allen with a new WR1 and offers speed and field-stretching ability to an offense that ranked lowest in average target depth last season.
