"I have in my mind the expectation that he's going to play against the Jets,"
"His body has to follow through, and we'll take that day by day. But I know he's excited for this week and getting a full week underneath his belt of practice before the next game."
"My premature - don't hold me to this; it's a little early for the second opinions - but it looks like it's maybe a week to week thing, not super extensive,"
Darren Waller is expected to play in Miami's next game against the New York Jets on Sept. 29 after missing the first three games with a hip strain. Waller returned from retirement and progressed through activation after spending much of training camp on the physically-unable-to-perform list. A pre-opener setback kept him out of the opener but did not prompt placement on injured reserve. The Dolphins have used two tight ends, Julian Hill and Tanner Conner, in each of the first three games. Rookie cornerback Jason Marshall Jr. sustained a hamstring injury and will be evaluated, with early indications suggesting a week-to-week recovery.
