Colts' Richardson stays optimistic despite lost '25
"Oh, yeah," Richardson said Wednesday. "No doubt. If I've still got a chance to play football, then it's all out there."
"But every day is going to be a day for improvement or healing," he said. "Obviously"
Anthony Richardson will not be activated from injured reserve ahead of the Colts' finale against the Houston Texans, ending his third NFL season. The No. 4 overall pick in 2023 suffered an orbital fracture near his right eye after a rod struck his face following a pregame stretching-band mishap in October. Richardson remains on injured reserve with lingering vision issues that he says are improving. He expresses optimism about his NFL future. If the Colts retain coach Shane Steichen and GM Chris Ballard, Daniel Jones is likely to be kept, leaving Richardson as a potential backup or trade candidate.
