Clemson WR Wesco out remainder of season
"It was a very, very scary injury, and the doctors did an amazing job,"
"The doctors are very confident he'll make a full recovery. Definitely something that'll keep him out the rest of this season, but thankful that all indications are he's gonna be OK. Just a real blessing for that."
Clemson leading receiver Bryant Wesco Jr. sustained a very serious back injury on a punt return against SMU when a low tackle sent him somersaulting and he landed almost directly on his head and neck. He got up and walked to the sideline but did not return and was taken to a hospital in Greenville, S.C., for further evaluation. He was later released and is resting at home. Medical staff indicated the injury could have been far worse and are confident he will make a full recovery. Wesco will miss the remainder of the season. He leads Clemson with 31 catches for 537 yards and six touchdowns and thanked supporters on Instagram.
