Dacoda Jones filed a civil lawsuit in Texas alleging Rashee Rice repeatedly assaulted her between 2023 and 2025 and is seeking more than $1 million. Jones alleges Rice strangled her in December 2023 and committed multiple acts of physical violence, including grabbing, choking, pushing, hitting, headbutting and striking her with objects. The suit also alleges property destruction, punching walls, breaking furniture and locking her out of their apartment. Jones claims physical pain, mental anguish, disfigurement, medical care needs and lost earnings. The Chiefs said the club is aware and is communicating with the NFL. Jones posted photos showing bruises and damaged property.
