Burrow on drought: 'Something's got to change'
""We don't want to be in the spot we are in now, so something's got to change," Burrow said Wednesday. "Whether it's players we have continuing to improve and get better and play championship-caliber football or bringing in guys that will or whatever it may be. Obviously, something has to [change].""
""What we've been doing hasn't worked the last couple of years," Burrow said Dec. 17. "We have to think outside the box and get creative about where we go from here.""
The Cincinnati Bengals missed the playoffs for the third consecutive season. Quarterback Joe Burrow said something must change, urging roster improvements or different approaches to return to championship-caliber football. Burrow called for thinking outside the box and getting creative about the team's direction after recent underperformance. Burrow is a sixth-year player and two-time MVP finalist who missed nine games this season with a turf toe injury that required surgery. Since returning on Nov. 27 he started five games and the Bengals won three; a victory against the Browns would create a three-game season-ending winning streak. Bengals coach Zac Taylor has faced fan scrutiny.
