Bowlen's three-plus decades tenure included as many Super Bowl trips as losing seasons, seven of the franchise's eight Super Bowl trips overall and all three Super Bowl wins, including Super Bowl 50."

Pat Bowlen led the franchise through more than three decades with seven of the team's eight Super Bowl appearances and all three Super Bowl victories, including Super Bowl 50. Bowlen had seven children, stepped away before the 2014 season after an Alzheimer's diagnosis, and died at 75 in 2019. The family notes that relatives of deceased Ring of Fame honorees are routinely invited to weekend events. Annabel Bowlen, the mother of Brittany and Annabel, was also diagnosed with an illness.
