Bills comment on CB Slay's future with team
""I'm a huge Ja'Marcus Ingram fan and will always be, so, I'm always gonna be in his corner and want the best for him,""
""So, that's really where my mind is right now and get myself ready to coach this game.""
""Mostly it's a family decision kind of to it,""
""So, we just see how it goes though. But I'm gonna take it day by day.""
Darius Slay has not reported to the Buffalo Bills after being claimed following his release by the Pittsburgh Steelers, and he is contemplating retirement. Slay cited family considerations and plans to take the decision day by day while speaking positively about the Bills organization. The Buffalo roster move to claim Slay led the team to waive cornerback Ja'Marcus Ingram with hopes of re-signing him, but Ingram was claimed on waivers by the Houston Texans. Philadelphia also submitted a waiver claim for Slay. Coach Sean McDermott called the situation unfortunate and emphasized focusing on preparing the team.
