Bengals veteran Wilson addresses benching
""I felt like I was," Wilson said."
""But obviously [Bengals coach] Zac [Taylor] felt otherwise.""
Cincinnati Bengals benched veteran linebacker Logan Wilson in favor of rookie Barrett Carter, with both technically listed as starters. Wilson was off the field in two-linebacker sets and did not play defensive snaps in the second half except for a final-minute kneel-down. Wilson said he felt he was performing well enough to start but acknowledged that coach Zac Taylor felt otherwise. Wilson has been a starter since 2021 and is under a four-year, $36 million contract through 2027. The switch was finalized early last week and Wilson said there were no hard feelings toward Carter.
