""Anything has to be worked for. You can't just walk into a room and expect the blessings to flow," Stout said Wednesday. "That's the biggest thing I learned being young: you have to work for everything if you want to be blessed by it.""
"Asked what he's expecting from Brown, Stout replied: "His best. And he's going to get my best. ... It's going to be another week. It just means more.""
""I've got something to play for: everybody in this locker room," Collins said. "I know they'll get my best to help the team out.""
Upton Stout, a 5-foot-8½ nickel back drafted in the third round, played 55% of defensive snaps and produced five pass breakups, four tackles for loss, a sack and a forced goal-line fumble. Alfred Collins, a second-round defensive tackle, also played significant snaps and is slated for a meaningful role. Both are the only members of the 11-man draft class expected to play in the wild-card game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Stout is tasked with limiting A.J. Brown. Collins is charged with anchoring a front to stop Saquon Barkley and pressure Jalen Hurts.
