"SANTA CLARA Kyzir White, three years after helping the Philadelphia Eagles wallop the 49ers for a Super Bowl berth, is coming to aid the 49ers' injury-depleted linebacker corps entering Sunday's wild-card playoff game in Philadelphia. Let's boogie, White posted on the social-media platform X in response to Jordan Schultz's initial report of the 49ers' Tuesday acquisition. The 49ers have yet to officially announce White's signing but he is expected to join the practice squad, according to a team source."
"White's only career playoff appearances came with the 2022 Eagles. A veteran of 93 games with 618 tackles, White spent most of this season on the Tennessee Titans' practice squad. He played just one game (a Sept. 21 loss to Indianapolis) and has dealt with a hamstring injury. However, he made a career-game 137 tackles (nine for loss) last year in his second season with the Arizona Cardinals."
Kyzir White, a 29-year-old eight-year NFL veteran, is expected to join the San Francisco 49ers' practice squad ahead of the wild-card playoff game in Philadelphia. White posted 'Let's boogie' on X after reports of the acquisition. The 49ers have lost Fred Warner (ankle) and Tatum Bethune (season-ending groin), and are also dealing with Dee Winters (ankle) and Luke Gifford (quadriceps). Curtis Robinson and Garret Wallow remain on the active roster, while Eric Kendricks may move up from practice-squad elevations and potentially start. White has 93 career games and 618 tackles.
