The Wizards may not be done making blockbuster moves if latest reports prove true
"The Washington Wizards may be firmly in the midst of a rebuild, but it hasn't stopped the team's front office from being aggressive on the trade market. After an offseason full of big trades, Washington continued their willingness to make moves with the first blockbuster trade of the regular season landing four-time All-Star Trae Young in a deal with the Atlanta Hawks."
"According to multiple reports from NBA Insiders Kevin O'Connell of Yahoo Sports and Dalton Johnson of NBC Sports, the Wizards continue to be linked to former lottery pick Jonathan Kuminga, who seems destined to be traded ahead of the trade deadline. Kuminga was one of the most intriguing free agents available in the offseason, but the Golden State Warriors reluctancy to help facilitate a deal through the forward's restricted free agency eventually led to the former G-League Ignite star re-signing in Golden State."
Washington remains in a rebuild while staying aggressive in the trade market. The team acquired four-time All-Star Trae Young from Atlanta, triggering major roster shakeups and a reconfigured depth chart heading into the February trade deadline. General manager Will Dawkins and decision-makers continue to pursue moves and could seek another blockbuster. The Wizards are linked to former lottery pick Jonathan Kuminga, who re-signed with Golden State but appears destined for a trade if his fit with Steve Kerr's system remains poor. Kuminga is averaging 11.8 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.6 assists while shooting 43.1% overall and 32.0% from three.
