Streaking Nets' unexpected rise reaches new heights with win over Timberwolves
"Really just [glad] to be back playing, feeling good to be back out there with the guys, making the right play, making the right shots,"
"And we played really well, we got a win out of this. That's even better for me."
"We knew they were a pretty good defensive team, they're physical. So we knew coming in we had to play through the contact, play through the physicality. If the refs call it, they call it. If they don't, just play through it."
Cam Thomas returned after missing 20 games with a strained left hamstring and scored a game-high 30 points in 19:48 off the bench. The Brooklyn bench collectively produced 62 points as the Nets defeated the Timberwolves 123-107 in Minnesota. Brooklyn has won seven of its last ten games and recorded its first three-game winning streak of the season, improving to 10-19 overall and 10-12 since Thomas's injury. Thomas shot 9-of-15, finished a game-high plus-30, and provided efficient scoring that complemented the team's improved defense and balanced offense.
