Victor Wembanyama is expected to play Saturday in the NBA Cup semifinal against the Oklahoma City Thunder in Las Vegas, pending final clearance after Friday practice. He has been sidelined since Nov. 14 with a left calf strain but returned to practice this week and participated in multiple 5-on-5 sessions. San Antonio managed his recovery cautiously after he suffered the injury against the Golden State Warriors. The Spurs have gone 9-3 without him, including two NBA Cup group-play wins and a quarterfinal victory over the Los Angeles Lakers.
