Trae Young will return Thursday night against the Charlotte Hornets after suffering a sprained right MCL on Oct. 29 in Brooklyn and missing 22 straight games. Atlanta went 13-9 without Young and sits 15-12 overall despite recent injuries. Young is averaging 17.8 points and 7.8 assists this season. He was upgraded to probable after a full practice Wednesday following a G League scrimmage Tuesday. Young described the knee as requiring extra time to heal and expects his conditioning to improve with game action. He intends to preserve team strengths while making play easier for teammates.
