Shai Gilgeous-Alexander attempted a decisive play in the second overtime of the season opener and drew a foul on Kevin Durant. Durant, the reigning MVP, sank both free throws with 2.3 seconds remaining to complete a 35-point performance and secure a 125-124 win for the defending champions.
