The result left Phoenix facing a potential sweep as Las Vegas took a 3-0 series lead. Mercury coach Nate Tibbetts called the Aces a well-oiled machine. The Aces combined Becky Hammon's defensive schemes, timely reserve performances, and a core of Wilson, Jackie Young and Chelsea Gray to stay a step ahead and pursue a third championship.
