Miami is expected to seek another big man before the season to solidify frontcourt depth. Nikola Vucevic emerges as a plausible veteran fit to back up Bam Adebayo and Kel'el Ware. Any move for Vucevic would likely require finding a taker for Terry Rozier to create trade flexibility. Vucevic has historically produced against Miami, averaging 18 points, 11 rebounds and three assists across 47 games, with much of his damage coming while with Orlando. Vucevic could be traded or bought out this season, making him a realistic target for midseason improvement.
It would be shocking if the Miami Heat didn't explore adding another big man between now and the start of the season. But even if they did, you'd have to imagine they're going to need to make some sort of move to solidify their frontcourt depth at some point soon. Theoretically speaking, Nikola Vucevic could be a natural potential fit for the team.
Vucevic is a player that many across the league believe will eventually be traded or bought out at some point this season. Per Stathead, Vucevic has feasted against the Heat over the course of his career. In 47 games played against Miami, Vucevic has averaged 18 points, 11 rebounds, and three assists per game. Vucevic did most of his damage against the Heat in an Orlando Magic uniform, but he has still been a worthy opponent during his time in Chicago.
