The NBA suspended Isaiah Stewart seven games for leaving the bench area and participating in a fight during a game against the Charlotte Hornets. Miles Bridges and Moussa Diabaté were suspended four games each for fighting and escalating the altercation, and Jalen Duren received a two-game suspension for initiating the confrontation. All four players were assessed technical fouls and ejected. Stewart and Duren begin their suspensions Thursday when Detroit visits Toronto; Bridges and Diabaté begin theirs Thursday when Charlotte hosts Atlanta. The league cited Stewart's repeated unsportsmanlike history. The confrontation began after a defensive foul, escalated to punches and a headlock, briefly required police on the floor, and prompted apologies and statements from players.
