The NBA fined Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown $35,000 for "public criticism of the officiating" following a 100-95 loss to the San Antonio Spurs. Brown launched an extended rant at the officiating crew after the game and singled out crew chief Curtis Blair by name. The Celtics attempted only four free throws in the contest. Brown expressed frustration with perceived inconsistency in officiating and said he would accept the fine. He called some calls "bulls---" and said the Spurs are a good defensive team but not "that damn good."
