Rozier appeared with co-defendants Eric Earnest, Marves Fairley, Shane Hennen, Damon Jones and De'Niro Laster at a brief status conference. Prosecutors allege Rozier told a longtime friend he would prematurely remove himself from a March 2023 game due to a supposed injury, and associates placed more than $200,000 in bets predicting underperformance and won tens of thousands. His defense plans to file a motion to dismiss based on Ciminelli v. United States.
