Minnesota responded with a pair of made free throws from Hiedeman, but Veronica Burton trimmed the Lynx advantage to two on and-1 layup on the ensuing possession. Collier closed the door on the very next play when she hit a mid-range jumper to put the game away for good."

Napheesa Collier finished with 20 points and five rebounds. Golden State led 36-31 at halftime and entered the third quarter ahead, but Williams and Hiedeman combined for 16 of Minnesota's 30 third-quarter points. A late 3 from Rupert cut the lead to three, but Collier's mid-range jumper clinched the game. The Valkyries will finish 14-8 at home.
