Pat Spencer left lacrosse to pursue basketball and spent three seasons with the Golden State Warriors as a two-way player often splitting time with the G-League. He made 50 appearances and became a fan favorite for his intensity and effort in limited minutes. After a 20-point game against the Suns and consistent play, the Warriors converted him to a standard contract for the remainder of the season once roster spots opened after trades. Coach Steve Kerr attributed Spencer's breakthrough to an improved jumper and encouraged him to keep shooting. Spencer expressed gratitude for the opportunity.
