Heat's recent injury update will put fans back in the holiday spirit
"Herro has only played in six games so far this season and has not exactly looked like the star player that Miami has needed him to be. The Heat's struggles began when Herro made his season debut and, in fairness to Herro, have continued even with him in and out of the lineup. Miami has some roster-construction issues that extend well beyond Herro at this point, and the way the team has looked over the past few weeks is a true indication."
"If the Heat are going to turn their season around, you'd have to think that Herro is going to play a big part in that. As one of the team's most talented offensive players, that's almost a given. However, that is extremely difficult to envision considering Herro is still battling a toe injury. This nagging injury has to be frustrating for both Herro and the Heat."
Pelle Larsson and Nikola Jovic were upgraded to probable and are set to return, providing the Miami Heat with added depth. Their availability should give the Heat a much-needed boost as the team seeks to end a three-game losing streak and a stretch in which it has lost nine of 11 games. Team health is improving, but Tyler Herro remains sidelined with a toe injury and is slated to miss his sixth straight game and 25th of the season. Herro has played only six games, Miami faces broader roster-construction issues, and no clear timeline exists for his return.
