Heat's Norman Powell named participant for 3-point contest
"In addition to playing in the All-Star game, Heat guard Norman Powell was named one of the eight participants for the 3-point contest, the league announced Sunday. Powell, who was named an All-Star for the first time in his career this season, is averaging 23.0 points on 39.3 percent shooting from 3-point range. He took place in the 3-point contest last year, which was won by then-Heat first-time All-Star Tyler Herro. Powell was eliminated in the first round."

Norman Powell will compete in the 2026 State Farm 3-Point Contest as one of eight participants and will also play in the All-Star Game. Powell is averaging 23.0 points per game and shooting 39.3 percent from three this season. He previously participated in the 3-point contest last year and was eliminated in the first round. Powell is on pace to make 179 three-pointers, which would tie his career high. The contest field includes Kon Knueppel, Devin Booker, Donovan Mitchell and Damian Lillard and is scheduled for Feb. 14 at 5 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock.
