Heat star passed this milestone in win over Suns
"Currently at 9,461 points, the Heat's 10-year vet has a long way before he passes the franchise's all-time leading scorer. Adebayo would have to double his current number, plus score at least another 2,500 points before even entering the conversation. All records are meant to be broken, but in all likelihood, it will be a very long time before any Heat player sniffs Wade."
"Though Adebayo is coming off one of his best games of the season against the Phoenix Suns. In the Heat's six-point win, Adebayo scored a game-high 29 points on 11-of-15 shooting with nine boards, two steals and one block in 32 minutes. But the three-time All-Star accomplished a bigger feat: Moving to No. 2 on the team's all-time scoring list, passing Alonzo Mourning."
Bam Adebayo experienced an uneven season following a foot injury in early November but produced one of his best games against the Phoenix Suns, scoring 29 points on 11-of-15 shooting with nine rebounds, two steals and one block in 32 minutes. The three-time All-Star moved to No. 2 on the Miami Heat's all-time scoring list, passing Alonzo Mourning, yet remains far from Dwyane Wade at 9,461 career points. Adebayo averages 15.8 points, 8.9 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.1 steals per game while shooting 53.1 percent overall and 31.9 percent from three. After the Phoenix effort his season scoring sits at about 15.6 points with 54.7 percent true shooting. Miami continues a three-game homestand against the Boston Celtics Thursday night.
